✅ Step 1: Calm the Gut (Reduce Inflammation & Support Immunity)
You can’t heal in chaos.
👉 Think of a garden after a thunderstorm: the soil is flooded, the plants are stressed, and nothing can be restored until the storm clears. Your gut works the same way.
When your system is inflamed, stressed, and depleted, trying to “fix” things with restrictive diets, random supplements, or antimicrobials is like planting seeds in mud.
That’s why the very first step in healing isn’t killing off pathogens or cutting more foods — it’s calming the chaos.

Before clearing and rebuilding, we calm the “soil” by:
- Reducing gut inflammation → Calms the “fire” so meals stop triggering bloating and pain — laying the foundation for effective Detox in Step 3.
- Supporting the gut immune system → If you’re catching every cold or reacting to everything you eat, this step rebuilds defenses so your body is strong enough to clear pathogens later in the process.
- Easing the body out of fight-or-flight → Stress literally shuts down digestion. When your body shifts into calm, food can finally break down, absorb, and move the way it should.

💬 Client J’s story:
She was constipated for years and exhausted despite “eating healthy.” The first step we take with every client is to run an at-home stool test, so we can see what’s really going on.
Her stool test showed burnt-out gut immunity and fat malabsorption, which explained why she also struggled with smelly gas and bloating. Once we calmed her system by supporting her digestion and immune system and reducing inflammation, she started having daily, natural BMs — no laxatives required.
⚡ Step 2: Mineralize the Body (Replenish Essential Minerals for Digestion)
A depleted garden can’t grow without nutrients — and most people are depleted in minerals like sodium, potassium, and magnesium without even realizing it. Without these key minerals, your body can’t:
- Produce enough stomach acid, which helps to break down food properly
- Release digestive enzymes + bile, which helps you absorb nutrients properly
- Keep food and bacteria moving to prevent constipation and bacterial overgrowths

After years of failed gut protocols, her mineral test (otherwise known as an HTMA, which stands for Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) showed severe mineral depletion, specifically potassium, magnesium and sodium.

🌱 Step 3: Detox the Right Way (Functional Stool Testing To Find Root Causes)
Once the soil is nourished, then (and only then) we safely clear hidden stressors like:
- H. pylori
- Candida + yeast
- Parasites
- Histamine-producing or inflammatory bacteria
This step is guided by functional stool testing (GI MAP) we provide for all of our clients, so we know exactly which “weeds” to pull, making your gut as healthy as it can be!
💬 Client L’s story:
She was down to chicken and rice, relying on reflux meds to manage her heartburn, and still couldn’t escape the chronic, painful gas. Her at-home gut testing revealed overgrowths of histamine-producing bacteria.
👉 These bacteria fueled inflammation + triggered excess histamine → which made her more reactive to foods and worsened reflux and gas.
👉 PPIs (acid blockers) only lowered her stomach acid further, which actually created an even better environment for those bacteria to thrive.
👉 Cutting foods didn’t help because it wasn’t food that was the issue — it was the microbial imbalance driving the reactions.
Once we cleared the overgrowths of bacteria, she was able to wean off her PPIs, added beans, spicy foods and pizza back into her diet, and her gut feels better than ever!

Most people skip this step — and that’s why bloat and constipation creep back after a few months of “feeling better”. Here, we:
- Rebuild microbial diversity → A diverse microbiome keeps digestion smooth, regulates inflammation, and prevents bad bacteria or yeast from overgrowing again. Without this, symptoms almost always rebound.
